Markets keep gaining spree; Sensex tops 540 pts, Nifty 50 near 15,300; Bank, IT outperforms; L&T, ONGC in lead

Sensex topped by 540 points and touched an intraday high of 51,821.84. While Nifty 50 reclaimed over 15,300-level, by clocking an intraday high of 15,336.30 in early hours.
