Asian stock markets trade lower; Hang Seng index slips over 1%

South Koreas Kospi slipped 0.98%, Japans Nikkei 225 declined 0.55%, Hong Kongs Hang Seng index dropped 0.72% and the Topix index shed 0.47%.
