Jack Ma, co-founder of Alibaba, is set to become a visiting professor at the University of Tokyo's Tokyo College, as of 1 May. The school has said that Ma, who has been out of the public eye since criticising Chinese regulators in 2020, will provide advice on research topics and conduct research, particularly in sustainable agriculture and food production.

The Income-Tax Appellate Tribunal’s (ITAT) Mumbai bench recently held that the rental compensation received from a builder due to a redevelopment project is not taxable in the hands of the former flat owner.
