As startups restructure, about 20,000 laid off

Indian startups are estimated to have laid off almost 20,000 employees in the past year. Among those who have rationalised their workforces include unicorns like Byju's, Ola, Oyo, Meesho, Unacademy and Vedantu. ShareChat on Monday announced it is laying off about 20% of its staff - that's about 500 people.
