Oil, gas and metals conglomerate Vedanta Limited, along with its joint-venture partner Foxconn, a Taiwan-based multinational contract electronics manufacturer, will jointly invest $20 billion (approximately Rs 1.5 lakh crore) in Gujarat. Vedanta-Foxconn signed an MoU with the Gujarat government on Tuesday to set up a semiconductor fabrication unit, a display fabrication unit, and a semiconductor assembling and testing unit in Ahmedabad district.
