State-run fuel retailers on Friday raised diesel price by a modest 20 paise a litre, the first increase since July 17 — still suffering under-recoveries of 45 paise per litre — as benchmark Brent crude spiked to three-year high of $77.65 per barrel on high hopes of recovery.
