GST compensation to 9 states put at Rs 70,000 Cr

Ratings firm ICRA estimates the revenue collections from GST may fall Rs 3.5 lakh crore short at the central level for this fiscal year compared with the July 2019 budget estimate of Rs 24.6 lakh crore. The total shortfall for all states could touch Rs 2.2 lakh crore in FY20.
