
Any possibility of below-normal monsoon rains in the current year could have a dampening effect on rural demand and push up prices of agri-commodities, Nestle India chairman and managing director Suresh Narayanan said on Friday. The comments come against the backdrop of data showing a decline in car sales and slowing consumption, which has triggered worries over the country’s overall economic growth.
