Sensex surges over 300 points; Nifty above 10,850

Equity indices on Friday opened higher with the benchmark BSE Sensex rising over 300 points to reclaim 36,000-mark. Sensex soared 304 points or 0.85 per cent to 36,111, while the broader NSE Nifty moved 87 points or 0.81 per cent up to 10,867 in early trade.
