Surge in markets continue, Sensex within sight of 39,000-mark

​The 30-share BSE index eventually finished at 38,896.63, another closing high, up 202.52 points from previous closing mark. The index hit an all-time high of 38,938.91 in intra-day trading. ​The broader 50-share NSE Nifty went past the 11,750-mark, before settling at 11,738.50, up 46.55 points, at the closing bell.
