Forex reserves down $3 billion to $561 billion

The country's foreign exchange reserves declined by $3.007 billion to $561.046 billion in the week ended August 26, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) data showed. In the previous week ended August 19, the reserves had dipped by $6.687 billion to $564.053 billion.

Imports of Russian crude fall nearly a quarter in two months

India imported 738,024 barrels per day (bpd) of Russian crude oil in August, 18% lower than in July and 24.5% less than in June, according to Vortexa. China's imports of seaborne crude oil from Russia, however, remained largely stable during this period.
